Wilderness Oak Elementary PTA believes that the equal cultivation of community fun and education is what creates substantial growth for everyone involved. Below are just a few of the programs we offer for our families and students.
Arts in Education (Reflections)
Calling all students who love the arts! Enter our PTA Reflections contest and "Show your voice"! Due date is Friday, October 28th. Please click here for the eligibility rules and entry form.
Red Ribbon Week

We celebrate Red Ribbon Week nationally every October to honor Kiki Camarena, who tragically lost his life in the fight against drugs. Our students will focus on healthy habits and making good decisions. Red Ribbon Week runs

Gardens/School Beautifications

Interested in gardening or have ideas to help make our school grounds more beautiful?
Watch D.O.G.S

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) are fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles and other adult males who sign up to volunteer and serve as positive role models, and help increase a sense of security on campus. Interested in becoming a WatchDOG? Don't forget to fill out your criminal history check via the NEISD website!
Mid-Autumn Festival

Join us for our Mid-Autumn Festival (or Moon Festival) on September 9th. Each child will decorate a lantern and it will be hung around our school amphitheater for everyone to enjoy. Grandparents Day

Join us for a game night on Friday, September 9th starting at 5pm. Enjoy a fun evening of playing games, walk with your Wolf through our Mid Autumn Festival lanterns, and enjoy some time with each other. We welcome all people who are like grandparents to our students- that could be aunts, uncles, community members, neighbors, etc. to join us!
Glow Party

Bike Rodeo

Bike Rodeo will be held in the Spring this year! Students who participate will go through a course outlined in our lower parking lot located in the back of the school. Rules and more information will be sent home closer to the time of our event!
Field Day

Field day is held in the spring and we will need your help to make it successful!

Wednesday Walkers

Our Wednesday Walker program is starting in Mid-September. Join us on the track starting at 7am to walk laps. We will track our steps so we can make it all the way across Texas! More information coming soon via backpacks and Facebook!
Lunch Room/ Cafeteria Support

We need help in our cafeteria! All lunch volunteers should sign in at the front office. For the safety of our students, all staff and volunteers must complete their criminal history check and must wear their badge at all times. There are 2 lunchroom volunteers per 1 hour session. We ask that you stay for the FULL hour! Please contact the front office for volunteer times available!
Turkey Trot

The Annual Wilderness Oak Turkey Trot 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run is open to all ages and abilities - strollers are welcome! This will be a community event, so please feel free to invite friends and family. The run will start at the school's back gate to Panther Springs Park and continue on a beautiful, winding path that loops around and ends at the finish line.
