About

What is PTA?

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is parents and teachers working together to create a better learning experience for children, families and schools.

The Wilderness Oak Parent Teacher Organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose members include parents, family members, community, teachers and staff. Our goal is to provide engaging programs and events for the children at Wilderness Oak Elementary, as well as to raise funds for additional improvements and programs for our school.

Founded in 2005, we strive to be among the most credible associations working exclusively on behalf of the students in our community. We focus on perfecting our offering of educational resources and events in order to give the students of the San Antonio area and beyond a world-class educational support system. At Wilderness Oak Elementary PTA, we’re here to help our students determine their future in the community through education. After all, as individuals our voices can only reach so far. However, when we act as a single unit, we are a powerful and paramount voice for our children and students.
