PTA President Message

Dear Wilderness Oak Families,

​

Welcome to the 2023/24 school year! We hope that you had a fun-filled and relaxing summer and are looking forward to an exciting school year.  We believe that a large part of our students’ success is a direct result of a strong relationship between our families and the school. By participating in and supporting the PTA, it is just one of the many ways to accomplish this. Our PTA’s mission is:

TO MAKE EVERY CHILD’S POTENTIAL A REALITY BY ENGAGING AND EMPOWERING FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES TO ADVOCATE FOR ALL CHILDREN.

In addition to coordinating teacher and staff appreciation events, 5th grade celebrations, Watch DOGS, and campus volunteers, the Wilderness Oak PTA puts on many programs throughout the year, including the Glow Dance Party, Bike Rodeo, Reflections, Spring Festival, and much more! We also help to improve the campus with things such as new tables and chairs for the library, the metal gate décor on the security gate, mulch for the small playground, and an ADA accessible Gaga Ball Pit for all of our students to enjoy on the small playground.

For our PTA to be effective and truly representative of Wilderness Oak, everyone’s participation is essential. The simplest and easy way to be involved is to become a member at www.joinpta.org or by filling out the enclosed form. The best part is, is that we have options for all time constraints. Whether you have 30 minutes or a few hours, your time, talents, and voice is truly needed.

Another important way you can help is by donating to our Greenback campaign. More information is located on our greenback page (coming soon). Our hope is that we can raise all of our necessary funds so that all of our PTA events can be at-cost or free for our families!
